Syracuse Crunch News Release
Syracuse, NY (January 15, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Syracuse University Women's Ice Hockey Team will be helping to generate proceeds for 'Skate for the Cure' at the club's Saturday, January 16 game vs. Rochester.
'Skate for the Cure' is a fundraiser that all members of the CHA (College Hockey America) take part in to generate awareness and proceeds to help find a cure for breast cancer. The team will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win either a Crunch or Orange Women's team autographed stick.
In addition, the SU Women's Ice Hockey Team will be auctioning off an authentic 'Orange' jersey, which the players will debut at the game. All proceeds from 'Skate for the Cure' will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Crunch wrap up a season-long five game road trip in Springfield on January 15 before returning home on January 16 to take on Rochester at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
