Moose Recall Derek LeBlanc

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have recalled centre Derek LeBlanc from the Rapid City Rush of the CHL.

LeBlanc, 23, has appeared in 18 games so far this season with the Rush where he has recorded 16 points (7g & 9a) and 38 penalty minutes. The Brandon, MB native has also played in nine games with the Moose this season where he recorded one assist after making the opening day roster out of training camp.

Last season, the left-handed centre appeared in 64 games with the Rush in his pro rookie season and finished second on the team with 26 goals. In his junior career, LeBlanc played four seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League where he appeared in a career total of 244 games for 101 points (49g & 52a) and 281 penalty minutes. Before turning pro, LeBlanc also played one season in the CIS with University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.
