B-Sens Sign Goaltender Tyler Sims

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today they have signed goaltender Tyler Sims to a professional try-out contract.

Sims, 24, has appeared in five games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL, posting a 2.57 goals-against average and a.904 save percentage.

The 6-0, 190-pound Sims spent four seasons with Providence College (2004-2008), where he was the first goaltender to register back-to-back shutouts versus UMass-Lowell (Oct. 21 and Oct. 22, 2005). Sims also set the team record for total shutouts by a goaltender with seven.

The B-Sens see action tonight as they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
