Elmira Jackals News Release
ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that center Scott May has been loaned to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. May's loan is the Jackals eighth this season of one of their own ECHL-contracted players to the AHL and is May's second loan to the Senators this year.
With five goals and nine assists, May has put 14 points on the board in just 10 games with Elmira this season. His second three-point game of the year sparked the Jackals' 5-4 come-from-behind overtime win against Reading. With Elmira trailing 4-1 heading into the third period, May set up the final two regulation goals to tie the game at 4-4 and force overtime before netting the game-winner just forty-six seconds into sudden death play.
In seven previous AHL games in 2007-08, May is pointless in one contest with Binghamton and picked up a pair of assists in six games during a month long stay with the Manitoba Moose. The third-year pro had made AHL stops in St. John's, Milwaukee and Iowa prior to this season.
