AHL Hershey Bears

Masse (Naturally) downs Rats 4-2

December 17, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

A natural hat trick to start the game for David Masse leads the way as HERSHEY opens a seven-game homestand with a 4-2 victory over the River Rats. Masse now has five goals against the Rats this season, including a short-handed goal.

The victory was a costly one for the BEARS, however, as defenseman Brett Clark left the game with a shoulder injury and did not return. HERSHEY's captain will be re-evaluated on Saturday, but is expected to be out at least through the weekend. Newcomer Mike Amodeo also was injured during the second period Friday night and did not return. Jeff Ulmer picked up his sixth goal of the season with an empty net tally late in the third period.

The BEARS host Manchester Saturday at 7:00 p.m. John Walton and WHTM-TV Sports Director Gregg Mace have the call on abc-27 beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Dave Schultz and John Sparenberg handle radio duties beginning at 6:40 p.m. with the pre-game show.
