December 17, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Edmonton Road Runners News Release
The Edmonton Investors Group is pleased to announce that the Christmas Charity Challenge has sold out!
"We are ecstatic that so many hockey fans have come out to support these two great charities," said Cal Nichols, Chairman of the Edmonton Investors Group. "With every seat in Rexall Place sold, we'll be able to throw our full support behind the Christmas Bureau and Santa's Anonymous. We challenge others to do their part for the community, and make this a merry Christmas for everyone."
On Monday, December 13, 2004, the Edmonton Investors Group announced the Christmas Charity Challenge. All remaining seats for the December 20th Edmonton Road Runners game were purchased by the Edmonton Investors Group, and then made available to the community for only $4, with proceeds going to the Christmas Bureau and Santa's Anonymous.
Hockey fans from across the province were quick to take advantage of the special offer, and have packed Rexall Place to the rafters for the special game. As well as enjoying an exciting night of Road Runners hockey, fans will also get the opportunity to throw 3,500 foam pucks at 630 CHED's Bryan Hall, who has agreed to be the first Celebrity Target for Chuck-A-Puck.
