Penner Reassigned To Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (December 17, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Andrew Penner to Syracuse.

Penner, 21, appeared in 14 games with Dayton this season, posting a 6-8-0 record, a 3.41 goals against average and a .898 save percentage. Penner served as back-up to Karl Goehring four times this season, but has yet to appear in an AHL game. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Penner was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 17, 2001.

The Crunch hosts Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, December 17. On Saturday, December 18, Rochester visits Syracuse for the first-ever DestiNY USA Teddy Bear Toss.
