Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... The American Hockey League announced today that Rochester Americans right wing Mark Mancari has been added to the Canadian All-Star roster for the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Reebok, to take place this Sunday and Monday in Binghamton, N.Y.

Mancari, 22, is in his third season after being drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2004. The product of London, Ont., has notched 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points while skating in all 47 games for Rochester in 2007-08.

Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers have reassigned left wing Tanner Glass and the Buffalo Sabres have reassigned right wing Patrick Kaleta to the Amerks.

Glass, 24, returns after receiving his third NHL promotion this season. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Glass has registered one goal and 27 penalty minutes (PIM) in 23 appearances with the Panthers. Glass recorded his first career NHL goal against Ray Emery in a 5-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on January 22nd. In 24 American Hockey League contests, the 6-foot, 196-pound forward has collected four points (2+2) and 45 PIM. Glass was Florida's ninth-round selection (265th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Kaleta returns to the Amerks lineup after spending an eight-game stint with the Buffalo Sabres in his first NHL recall of the season. Although being held pointless, Kaleta registered 19 hits and two PIM.

Kaleta's largest contribution came in the form of his physical play. He leaves the team ranked second in hits per game (2.0), trailing only center Paul Gaustad (2.31).

Skating on the fourth line for the entirety of his assignment, the Buffalo, N.Y. native averaged eight shifts per game and 6:10 of ice time. Kaleta was Buffalo's sixth-round selection (176th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
