AHL announces suspension

January 25, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Philadelphia Phantoms forward Stefan Ruzicka has been suspended for five (5) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game at Bridgeport on Jan. 23.

Ruzicka was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) for an incident at 18:03 of the second period.

Ruzicka will miss Philadelphia's games tonight (Jan. 25) vs. Hershey, Saturday (Jan. 26) at Bridgeport, Feb. 1 vs. Worcester, Feb. 2 at Binghamton and Feb. 6 at Binghamton.
