Last Game

Dylan Clarke, Ben Marshall and Matt White scored second period goals as the Indy Fuel surged past the host Mallards 3-1 Sunday.

Sunday's loss halted the Mallards' four-game winning streak.

Playoff Picture

The Mallards are in ninth place in ECHL's Western Conference, one point behind the Tulsa Oilers, who hold the eighth and final playoff spot in the conference. The Oilers pushed the Mallards out of eighth place by defeating Utah Wednesday night. The Mallards have nine games remaining while Tulsa has ten games left.

Home Sweet Home?

The Mallards Sunday played their first home game since they fell to Wichita 3-2 in overtime on March 5. The Mallards are winless (0-2-1) in their last three home games.

On the Road Again

The Mallards tomorrow night in Wichita kick off a three-game road trip that will see them meet the Thunder again next Tuesday night before visiting the Missouri Mavericks next Wednesday evening. By defeating the Komets in Fort Wayne 2-1 in overtime last Saturday the Mallards finished a stretch of six straight road games 5-1-0. Overall the Mallards have won seven of their last eight away games.

Fuel for the Fire

The Mallards have lost their last five games against the Fuel. The Mallards have not defeated Indy since edging the Fuel 3-2 in overtime November 29 at the iWireless Center. The Mallards have gone 2-7-0 against Indy this season.

Division

Today's game is the final contest in a stretch of eight straight against division opponents for the Mallards. They have gone 5-2-0 over the first seven games of that stretch and have gone 15-14-1 against division foes this season.

Between the Pipes

P.J. Musico made 26 saves while suffering his first regulation loss as a Mallard Sunday. That defeated halted Musico's four-game winning streak and six-game regulation unbeaten (5-0-1) streak. Musico, who has started five straight games, has posted a 2.14 goals against average and .932 save percentage since joining the Mallards in a trade with Greenville last month.

Arch Madness

Olivier Archambault has set a Mallard season high by recording points (2-6-8) in eight straight games.

The Knack

Jordan Knackstedt Sunday scored his first goal for the Mallards in his ninth game with the team after being acquired in a trade with Greenville. Knackstedt is on a five-game point-scoring streak (1-4-5) and has eight points (one goal and seven assists) in his last eight games.

Iron Mike

Mike Monfredo is tied for sixth among ECHL defensemen in assists (27).

Special Teams

The Mallards' streak of 21 consecutive successful penalty kills ended when Ben Marshall scored the game winning goal on the power play for Indy Sunday. The Mallards are tied for eleventh in the ECHL in penalty killing (84.8 percent). The Mallards have converted just one of their last 16 power plays and now rank seventeenth on the man advantage (15.9 percent).

Milestones

Mike Monfredo Sunday played his two hundred sixty-fifth career game for the Mallards to move past Rick Emmett (264) into eighth place in team history...Vladimir Nikiforov has 296 career points.

Head to Head

The Mallards have gone 5-1-0 against the IceMen heading into tonight's season series finale. Evansville lone win against the Mallards came in their only prior visit to the iWireless Center. The IceMen won 3-2 in Moline on December 30. All-time the Mallards have gone 14-9-0 against the IceMen overall and 4-3-0 at home. The two teams met 16 times in the Central Hockey League in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Ins and Outs

The Mallards today signed forward Trevor Cox...Matt Neal (lower body) and Kyle Follmer (bereavement) have missed the Mallards' last three games...Raphael Bussieres has missed the Mallards' last seven games (upper body).
