The Augusta Lynx have acquired right wing Dan Sullivan from the Louisiana IceGators for right wing Jim Shepherd.

The 23 year-old Sullivan, who is in his first year of pro, has appeared in 20 games this season with Reading and Louisiana, notching four goals, eight points, and 37 PIMs. The 6-2, 230 lb. forward is expected to add toughness and grit to the Lynx lineup.

"He's a tough kid, and I think he'll be able to go out and mix things up a bit," said Lynx head coach and director of hockey operations Stan Drulia. "We got a lot bigger and a lot tougher with this move."

Shepherd, who signed in Augusta after starting the season in Germany, saw action in 27 games, scoring nine goals and 18 points with 40 PIMs.

Augusta is back in action tonight against the Pensacola IcePilots at 8:05 pm, with pre-game show kicking off one half-hour earlier on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630! You can also listen or watch the game via B2 Networks feed through www.augustalynx.com.
