BILOXI, MS – Despite outshooting the Mississippi Sea Wolves by a 39-20 margin, the Pee Dee Pride opened its eight-game road trip with 3-1 loss in front of 3,712 fans at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday night. After two scoreless periods, Mississippi scored the game's first goal 1:51 into the third period. The Sea Wolves had a 3-on-3 rush into the Pride zone. Mississippi doubled its lead at the 5:28 mark. Another former Pride player, Pat O'Leary, rushed down the left-wing side and beat Boucher with a quick wrist shot to the stick side. Pee Dee pulled back within one at the 15:46 mark of the final period. Nifty passing between Mark Mullen and Brian Collins kept the puck alive, and a cross-rink pass settled on the stick of Allan Sirois who blasted a shot past Matt Underhill for his 13th goal of the season.
