Lynx get Stefanski from 'Blades for futures

The Augusta Lynx announced today that they have acquired hard-nosed forward Sean Stefanski from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations.

The 26-year-old Stefanski (steh-FAN-skee) appeared in 33 games for the Everblades, scoring a goal and totaling seven points with 47 minutes in penalties. Hailing from Peterborough, Ontario, the 5-9, 185 lb. forward split time with six teams in the Ontario Hockey League during his junior career, totaling 57 goals and 117 points in 240 games along with 445 PIMs. Stefanski spent last year with Lakehead University in the CIS before turning pro. He is expected to join the Lynx this weekend.

Augusta returns to action with a pair of games in Greenville this weekend against the Grrrowl Friday night at 7:05 pm followed by a special matinee start Saturday at 2:05 pm. The Lynx will return home for a rematch with the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Sunday at 4:05 pm. Seats are $11, $14, and $15, with discounts available for Comcast Cable subscribers, military personnel, students, and seniors.
