Chiefs Have Irish Eyes

Johnstown, PA ( March 9, 2006) -- It will be an Irish Party weekend for Johnstown Chiefs fans.

The Chiefs will wear special St. Patty's Day Jerseys, all weekend. The green jerseys will be auctioned off at a later date, on Ebay.

The Chiefs are throwing an Irish pre-game party on Saturday. Irish band, "Tree," will begin playing in the War Memorial lobby at 5 pm. There will also be Irish music played throughout the weekend and intermissions will also have an Irish theme.

The Chiefs host the Trenton Titans on Friday at 7:30 pm, the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday at 7 pm, and the Reading Royals on Sunday at 3 pm.

The Chiefs have won six of the last seven against Trenton, including a 4-3 win on February 26, when Randy Rowe scored with three seconds remaining. The Chiefs lead the Titans by seven (7) points in the North division. Each team has 15 games remaining.

On Saturday, the Chiefs host division rival, Wheeling. Wheeling is 17-9-1 on the road, and is 3-1-1 in their last five games.

Sunday, the Chiefs host the first place Reading Royals. Johnstown has won three of the last four against Reading. Sunday is also Heluva Good Quality Foods Kids day. A children's ticket is free, when purchased with an adult ticket. Fans may skate with the Chiefs and get autographs from all players after the game. Skate rentals are not available.
