Titans and Latino Chamber of Commerce partner to help students in Trenton

TRENTON, NJ (March 9, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that they have partnered with the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Mercer County to provide complimentary Titans tickets to students within the Trenton school system based on their performance in the classroom.

"We are thrilled to begin a partnership within the Latino community through the Latino Chamber of Commerce," said Jim Leahy, Titans' General Manager and CEO. "We hope to grow the sport through this initiative."

"The Latino Chamber is delighted to invest in schools to promote academic achievement and we are honored to work with the Trenton Titans," said Harry Luna, President of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Mercer County. "It helps us to create a framework that places a premium on cooperation that is intended to foster strong productive alliances between families, schools, businesses, public offices, civic institutions, and churches."

The first benefactors of this program will be fifty students from both the Grace Dunn Middle School and Mott School in Trenton. They will visit the Sovereign Bank Arena to see the Titans clash with the Toledo Storm on Saturday, March 11 at 12:00pm.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - North America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans are the ECHL affiliate to the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms and the New York Islanders and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
