
Hot Prospects Trading Card Set Includes ECHL Players

ST. CATHARINES, Ontario - The Professional Hockey Players' Association and
the ECHL are pleased to announce the inclusion of the ECHL as part of In
The Game's 2005-06 Heroes & Prospects Series II trading card product.
In its second year on the market, the Heroes & Prospects Series brand has
been affording collectors and fans alike an opportunity to secure
top-quality autograph and memorabilia cards featuring their favorite hockey
heroes and rising stars.
"We are proud to be partners with In The Game in producing a trading card
product that is truly unique in the industry," said PHPA Director of
Communications & Business Development Andrew Johnston. "In The Game's
decision to include the ECHL in this product is a testament to the League's
ongoing popularity throughout the hockey community. The ability to
showcase our ECHL Members within this series provides the players and the
League great exposure internationally."
While the ECHL has been featured in trading-card products in the past, the
Heroes & Prospects set is the first major-league project with an
international scope. Several of the ECHL's top prospects will be featured
in this second series of the Heroes & Prospects product including Alaska's
Chris Beckford-Tseu, Charlotte's Hugh Jessiman, Fresno's
Brett Jaeger, Greenville's Mike Brodeur and Mike
Morrison, Gwinnett's Chris Durno, Idaho's Garett
Bembridge and D'Arcy McConvey, Reading's Greg Hogeboom,
Trenton's Rosario Ruggeri, Utah's Matt Craig and Wheeling's
Andy Franck.
