LoVerde Answers the Monarchs Call

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announce that defenseman Vincent LoVerde has been called up to the Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate to the Reign and the Kings.

This season LoVerde has played in 27 games with the Reign recording 17 points (7g, 10a). In November, the 23-year-old received his first AHL call-up to Manchester. While with the Monarchs, LoVerde appeared in 11 games and posted one assist.

Last season the rookie from Chicago, Ill. recorded 24 points (5g, 19a) in 64 games with the Reign with a team-high plus-minus rating of +13 and was named Ontario Reign Silver Skater in March 2012.

LoVerde spent four years playing at the NCAA level with Miami University (OH). The 5-foot-11, 205-pound d-man skated in a total of 159 games with the Red Hawks, recording 36 points (6g, 30a) and an overall plus-minus rating of +67.
