Great Lakes Loons News Release

Dow Diamond will have a retro feel this Saturday for the second annual Turn Back the Clock Night, presented by MidMichigan Health, for the Loons' game against Quad Cities. The game highlights a six-game homestand for the Great Lakes Loons this week.

For Saturday's game, the Loons will don replica road jerseys from the 1940's Dow ACs. Fans can bid on the jerseys in a silent auction that will take place on the concourse during the game. All proceeds from the Jersey off the Back auction benefit MidMichigan Health and will be used to care for patients in our local community.

The jerseys will be road grey with red piping and "Midland" lettering across the chest. As they did last season, Loons players will enter the field from a cornfield set up in right field

Saturday is also Stroke and Heart Care Day, presented by MidMichigan Health. MidMichigan will have displays on the concourse throughout the game with information on stroke and heart care and prevention.

Other highlights from this week include a "Got Lumber?" poster giveaway, presented by F.P. Horak tonight against Clinton. Thursday night's game is ‘50s Night with a special appearance from Jerry Mathers from Leave it to Beaver. Friday night's game features a post-game fireworks show, powered by Dow Corning.

Quad Cities begins a three-game series at Dow Diamond with Turn Back the Clock Night Saturday. Sunday is a Family Fun in the SUNday with Kids Run the Bases, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance and Faith Day. Monday's homestand finale is a Business Person's Special with a 3:05pm game time.

The Great Lakes Loons are the second-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
