South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks found their inner mustache tonight as they defeated the Beloit Snappers by the score of 3-0. South Bend currently has a 6 game winning streak. Josh Collmenter (11-5) did not let Mustache Nation down tonight. Collmenter pitched 7 innings of shutout baseball. The Hawks' bats did just enough to win today. Jo Jo Batten led the team with 2 hits and scored 1 run. In honor of mustaches the team competed in who had the best mustache. Derrick Walker defeated Sean Coughlin and Billy Spottiswood in the end to take the crown. The Silver Hawks and Snappers will play game 2 of their series on Thursday. Game time is slated for 7:00 PM.
