Silver Hawks Set New Single Season Attendance Record

South Bend, Indiana (August 29, 2014)- Your South Bend Silver Hawks drew 5,012 guests to Four Winds Field tonight breaking the single season attendance record that was set in 1994. The final 2014 season attendance is 258,836, exceeding the previous record by 412.

"We would like to say thank you to the best fans in baseball. It has been an amazing season and to have the opportunity to set a new single season record is awesome. The support we have received over the last three years has been overwhelming. I am happy for the community and region for having the chance to be a part of history. Baseball is alive and well in South Bend." states Joe Hart, Silver Hawks' Team President.

Your Silver Hawks will play the Lake County Captains in a best of three series to begin the playoffs. The opening game will be Wednesday, September 3rd, on the road, with the following games being held at Four Winds Field on the 4th and if necessary, the 5th. Thursday September 4th will be a Thirsty Thursday night with $2.00 beer and soda and following the game will be a spectacular fireworks show. Thursday's game is set for 7:05 p.m. and Friday's game, if necessary, is set for 7:35 p.m. Tickets are available through the South Bend Silver Hawks' Box office in person, or by calling 574-235-9988, and online at www.SilverHawks.com . The Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10a.m.-5p.m.
