Lojek gets call to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Martin Lojek has been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Lojek, 20, heads to Rochester for the third time this season where the rookies has previously skated in 12 games notching one goal and one assist. With the Everblades the native of the Czech Republic has notched 14 points (3g, 11a) and 40 penalty minutes in 45 games.

Prior to turning pro, Lojek spent three seasons in at the junior level with the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League. In 201 career games, the fourth round draft pick by the Florida Panthers in 2003 tallied 47 points (5g, 42a).

The Everblades return to action on Friday, April 7 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 8:05 p.m. from the Pensacola Civic Center.
