Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings announced today that they are providing a free online video broadcast of the last home series versus the Utah Grizzlies. This is an inaugural event for the club, and a trial broadcast with intentions of a fulltime WebCast for the 2006/2007 season.
"We are looking forward to providing another means of access to the Victoria Salmon Kings hockey games," said Dave Dakers, President of the Victoria Salmon Kings, "this is a market that has shown interest in following its professional sports teams, so we hope this trial broadcast will be welcomed by Salmon Kings fans and hockey fans in general."
SW Audio Visual Services is providing the online broadcast with multiple angles and a play-by-play commentary from Ken "Hurricane" Himes. Over the past two decades in Victoria, Himes has represented over 4000 athletes, 300 companies and 20 charities as a broadcaster, producer, and Master of Ceremonies.
A link to the free broadcast will be available via the Victoria Salmon Kings website at www.salmonkings.com by 7:00 p.m. (PT) on Friday, April 7th and 7:00 p.m. (PT) on Saturday, April 8th. Windows Media Player is required to view the broadcast.
