Loftis and McClintock to Drop Ceremonial Pucks for Grrrowl

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced that ELIZABETH LOSTIS and KATY McCLINTOCK will drop the ceremonial puck at Grrrowl games this weekend, as established by PRUDENTIAL C. DAN JOYNERS REALTORS. The nightly ceremonial puck drop is created to honor those local individuals who have shown great leadership in the community. The recognition is part of the partnership between the Grrrowl and Prudential C. Dan Joyner Realtors, a long-time supporter of the organization and the entire Upstate community.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2003, 7:05 PM ELIZABETH LOFTIS, an 11-year-old from Berea, helped rescued a 16-year-old girl who had failed to surface from the deep end of a swimming pool in Berea on Tuesday, September 23, 2003. Elizabeth jumped into the pool, grabbed the victim by the arm and dragged her to the side of the pool, where she and her mother performed CPR to revive the girl. The victim is now doing well, after being rescued by a heroic young lady. Elizabeth is a sixth-grader at Lakewood Elementary School and is a self-taught swimmer.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2003, 7:05PM KATY McCLINTOCK, is a registered nurse and a school nurse at Oakview Elementary School. She has been awarded the 2003 School Nurse of the Year Award, which is first award developed through a partnership between The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Western Carolina Chapter, The School District of Greenville County and Medtronic Minimed. McCLINTOCK has been at Oakview Elementary for four and a half years.
