Greensboro Generals Ice Girls to participate in Bowl-A-Thon
November 12, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greensboro Generals News Release
The Greensboro Generals Ice Girls are holding a Bowl-A-thon to benefit Kids Path, our local children's hospice.
The event will take place on Wednesday November 19th from 9pm-11pm at the AMF Bowling Lanes on Holden Road.
I wanted to write and personally invite you to this event. The cost to participate in this event is $15.00 per person and it includes unlimited bowling and shoe rental. A portion of the entrance fee and all revenue from sponsorship will be donated to Kids Path.
The Ice Girls have booked all 40 lanes for the fundraiser and hope to attract 160 bowlers to participate and raise funds for a great cause.
Palliative care is something that I personally believe in, and many of my cheerleaders hold a special place in their hearts for causes related to children. The tremendous impact Kids Path is able to make on a young hild's life made them an inevitable choice to receive the proceeds from our first annual Bowl-A-Thon.
There will also be a number of celebrity bowlers lacing up their bowling shoes in support of this great cause. We are really thrilled with the support we have received from the community and local business owners.
