
Local Country Music Entertainer to Sing Anthem

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Gulf Coast native and country music entertainer Richie Jones will sing the National Anthem prior to the Mississippi Sea Wolves next home game at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
Jones, who hails from Hurley, Mississippi, is one of 20 semi-finalists on the upcoming Nashville Star season premiere on USA Network to air at 9 p.m. CT on March 6. There will be 10 finalists chosen by a panel of judges and then the TV viewing audience will call in to vote and add an 11th person to the show. Fans are encouraged to watch and vote for Richie Jones.
Jones is a regular among the local casino and nightclub entertainment venues. He has opened for country artists Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Bryd, Hank Williams Jr., Charlie Daniels, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Chesney and many others.
The Sea Wolves take to the road for their next action at 7:05 p.m. on Friday against the Louisiana IceGators at the Cajundome in Lafayette. The broadcast starts at 6:50 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on ESPN Radio WXBD-AM 1490 and online at msseawolves.com.
