Chiefs Fall 5-2 In Trenton

Trenton, NJ- The Johnstown Chiefs three game winning streak was snapped Wednesday night as they fell to the Trenton Titans 5-2 at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

The Chiefs jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a first period power play goal by Steve Hildenbrand and an unassisted second period tally by Brent Bilodeau. Trenton would tie up the game in the second period with goals by P.J. Martin and B.J. Kilbourne. Former Chief, Ryan Crane scored the go ahead goal 9:17 into the 3rd period. Trenton would add two more goals, including an empty net goal, in the final three minutes of the contest to seal the victory.

Chiefs goaltender David Currie suffered the loss making 26 saves. Trenton goaltender Andrew Allen made 29 saves in the contest. The Chiefs are now 30-17-6 on the season while Trenton is 26-20-6.

Friday night the Chiefs are in Toledo, before coming back home for games Saturday night vs. Toledo and Sunday afternoon vs. Trenton (2:35 p.m.). For tickets call (814) 536-5156 or 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
