Doug Teskey Called Up

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Doug Teskey has been called up to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Doug will sign a Player Tryout Agreement with the Griffins and will back up former Storm goaltender Joey MacDonald.

Doug has appeared in 39 games this season with the Toledo Storm going 14-17-6. Teskey has four shoot out victories this season, which is tied for the most in the ECHL this year. This is the second time this season Doug has been called up to the Griffins. The first came on Friday, February 20th when Doug went up for two nights. He returned Sunday and helped Toledo to a 4-3 win over Cincinnati.

Toledo is next in action Friday, February 27th at home against the Johnstown Chiefs. Grand Rapids is home Thursday against Hamilton before hosting Chicago Friday and Philadelphia Sunday.
