Royals Defenseman Recalled by Bears

READING, PA – The Reading Royals, ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have announced that defenseman Dean Arsene has been recalled to the American Hockey League's Hershey Bears.

Arsene, 24, earns his fourth recall to the American Hockey League in less than a month. In 14 games with the Bears this season, the Abbottsbord, British Columbia native has one assist and 31 minutes in penalties. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defenseman appeared in 50 games with the Hartford Wolfpack last season and tallied a goal and four points along with 94 penalty minutes. He has made 35 appearances with the Royals this season and posted three assists and 99 penalty minutes. The third-year pro ranks third on the club in penalty minutes.

The Reading Royals travel to Peoria, Illinois to battle the Peoria Rivermen for a pair of games this weekend. The Royals and Rivermen meet for the third and fourth time in Peoria on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28. It is the Royals final two visits to the Bradley Center this season. The action faces off at 7:35 p.m. with the Performance Toyota pre-game show and the drop of the puck follows at 8:00 p.m.
