Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (34-48) play the finale of a two-game series -- and Game 2 of a five-game, home-and-home set -- against the second-place Rochester Red Wings (43-37) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 7-1 win last night, the Pigs have now won five consecutive games -- the last four against first-place teams -- to improve to 5-2 on this eight-game homestand. The Pigs are also 13-7 in their last 20 contests after going 3-15 in their prior 18 affairs from May 24 to June 11... The Red Wings -- Minnesota's top affiliate -- snapped their season-high, five-game winning streak and fell out of first place in the North Division. Prior to this recent string of winning five of its last six contests, Rochester went 6-13 from June 6-26 to fall from its 2015 high-water mark of 31-28... The Wing took the last series -- which consisted of a doubleheader sweep on June 3 at Cola-Park -- after the teams split a four-gamer May 14-17 at Frontier Field.

RHP Severino Gonzalez (1-4, 4.06) will start for LHV against RHP Jose Berrios (8-3, 3.08 in AA).

Tonight's game features an Independence Day 3-D Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by AT&T... First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
