Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to make it six in a row when they wrap up a two-game set with the Rochester Red Wings on Friday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Severino Gonzalez (1-4, 4.06) takes the hill for the Pigs in the series finale. Gonzalez got a no-decision in his last start for the IronPigs on June 23 at Buffalo when he gave up two runs on four hits while walking three and fanning two over six innings of work. Friday marks his second start of the year against Rochester. On May 15 at Frontier Field, the right-hander got a no-decision when he allowed a run on four hits to go along with a walk and four strikeouts in 6.0 IP.
RHP Jose Berrios (8-3, 3.08 in AA) will make his second career Triple-A start for the Red Wings and his first of 2015. Berrios' last start came on June 28 at Montgomery (AA) when he gave up a run on two hits while walking one and fanning six over seven innings of work. The Bayamon, Puerto Rico native was ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Twins system by Baseball America entering the season. Berrios fanned 92 batters over 90.2 IP with Double-A Chattanooga this season.
The first 7,000 fans in attendance on Friday night will receive 3-D glasses for the 3-D Friday Night Fireworks Extravaganza presented by AT&T. The IronPigs will also be wearing special Stars and Stripes caps and the autographed, game-worn caps will be auctioned off via a cap raffle benefitting IronPigs Charities. Receive three raffle tickets for $5 or seven tickets for $10. The cap raffle is presented by InsuranceHouseCall.com.
