The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have selected the contract of Buffalo Bisons LHP FELIX DOUBRONT. The Blue Jays have also recalled RHP RYAN TEPERA from the Herd.
Doubront, who had started the season on the disabled list, has made nine starts with the Bisons with a 1-3 record and a 2.44 ERA in 48.0 innings or work (36 H, 43 SO). The lefty has allowed three or fewer runs in eight of his nine starts and has limited opponents to just a .205 average against. Doubront has allowed just five earned runs in his last three starts. (17.0 IP, 11 H, 17 SO).
Tepera is 1-1 with a 0.44 ERA is 11 relief appearances for the Bisons this season. He has allowed just 7 hits in 20.1 innings with 22 strikeouts. This is his second promotion to the Blue Jays this season.
