(Pawtucket, RI) - Kyle Davies combined with two relievers on a five-hitter and despite a quality start from Pawtucket's Joe Kelly, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders beat the PawSox, 4-0, to complete a two-game series sweep on Friday night in front of a packed crowd of 11,893 at McCoy Stadium.

Cole Figueroa collected his second-straight three-hit game in the series and also hit a solo home run for Scranton (45-37), which has won 12 consecutive games in Pawtucket. Kelly (0-1) allowed three runs and four hits in six-plus innings of work for the PawSox, which lost a season-high sixth game in a row.

Davies (6-6) scattered four hits and three walks in six innings of work. The veteran right-hander struck out just two and stranded the bases loaded in his final inning to keep the PawSox off the scoreboard. Chris Martin tossed two perfect frames of relief in the eighth and ninth, while Branden Pinder tossed a scoreless ninth to finish the shutout.

Scranton scored the game's first run in the top of the second when Austin Romine led off with a walk and advanced to second on Figueroa's single. After a flyout moved Romine to third base, catcher Juan Graterol's RBI groundout made the score 1-0.

Kelly retired eight straight batters between the fourth and sixth innings, but Romine began the seventh with another walk to snap that streak and start a two-run rally. Figueroa again followed with a single, and Rob Segedin's RBI hit to center doubled the RailRiders' lead and chased Kelly from the game.

Dalier Hinojosa then entered in relief and immediately permitted a sacrifice fly to Graterol that made the score 3-0. Figueroa connected for his third long ball of the season in the ninth to provide Scranton with the final margin. He is now 13-for-19 with two home runs and nine RBI in five games played at McCoy Stadium this season.

Jemile Weeks, Quintin Berry, Rusney Castillo, Carlos Peguero and Travis Shaw each collected one of Pawtucket's five hits.

Pawtucket next heads on the road for a six-game trip to North Division rivals Syracuse and Lehigh Valley. The trip begins on Saturday night, Independence Day, in Syracuse with first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. Righty Keith Couch (3-7, 5.14) will start for Pawtucket against Syracuse righty Bruce Billings (3-3, 3.58). Radio coverage on 920 AM (WHJJ) and also streaming online begins at 6:50 pm.

The PawSox return home on Friday, July 10th to welcome Lehigh Valley for a three-game series that will lead into the Triple-A All-Star Break. Good seats are still available at the McCoy Stadium box office, by calling (401) 724-7300 or by visiting pawsox.com.
