LHP Paco Rodriguez Rejoins Isotopes

Left-handed pitcher Paco Rodriguez rejoined the Albuquerque Isotopes this morning from the Los Angeles Dodgers, and in a corresponding move, catcher Griff Erickson was placed on the disabled list with a right ankle sprain.

Rodriguez has split time between Albuquerque and Los Angeles this season, seeing action in 29 games with the Isotopes and 12 with the Dodgers. He's 2-3 with a 4.56 ERA at the Triple-A level. Rodriguez has struck out 34 batters in 25.2 innings pitched against only 14 walks. At the Major League level, Rodriguez in 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched. He has nine strikeouts and three walks and is coming off back-to-back perfect outings, totaling 1.1 innings pitched.

In 54 games with the Isotopes this season, Erickson is batting .289 with 10 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 22 RBI.

The Isotopes will go for their third-straight series win at 12:05 p.m. this afternoon against the Fresno Grizzlies. Right-hander Red Patterson (3-7, 5.40 ERA) is scheduled to start for Albuquerque, while Fresno will go with lefty Mike Kickham (7-5, 3.53 ERA).
