
Lalande and Wranglers shutout Utah 1-0

West Valley, UT - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (25-8-7, 57 Points) defeated the Utah Grizzlies (19-18-3, 41 Points) 1-0 at the E-Center on Friday night. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande made 32 saves for his second career shutout and his seventh win of the season. Utah goalie Mike Mole stopping 34 of 35 Las Vegas shots in the loss. Las Vegas right wing Adam Cracknell scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season in the win.
Las Vegas returns home to host Utah at 7:05 pm on Saturday night and 5:05 pm on Sunday night at the Orleans Arena.
Las Vegas ended a scoreless tie in the opening period as Adam Cracknell scored off a backhand shot at 14:57 for the 1-0 Wranglers lead. Left wing Shawn Limpright set up Cracknell's team-leading 18th goal of the season, as Las Vegas outshot Utah 18-9 in the first period.
After a scoreless second period, Lalande and the Wranglers closed the door on the Grizzlies and clamped down defensively. After making 16 saves in the first two periods of play, the Wranglers rookie goalie made 16 saves in the third period for his second shutout with Las Vegas.
The Wranglers return home to host Utah at 7:05 pm on Saturday night and 5:05 pm on Sunday night at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas will then head back on the road for 6:11 pm (PST) face-off in Phoenix.
