Farynuk Returned To AHL Duty, Recalled to Springfield

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, has announced defenseman Brad Farynuk (FAR-nick) has been recalled from the Thunder to Springfield.

In 28 games with the Thunder this season, the Thunder captain has three goals and 12 assists for 15 points and is third among all team defensemen in scoring. Farynuk returned to Stockton earlier this week and helped guide the National Conference to a 10-7 win in the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Skills Game and Skills Competition at Stockton Arena, the first all-star selection of his career.

The 6-foot, 210-pound defenseman has been recalled by the Falcons on five occasions this season and the Enderby, British Columbia native has played in four games with Springfield this year not registering a point.

The Thunder has led the ECHL in attendance for two consecutive seasons and drew 244,085 fans to Stockton Arena in 2006-07.
