Utah's Haskins, Kinasewich Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Utah forwards Tyler Haskins and Ryan Kinasewich are the co-winners of the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 14-20.

The two combined for 20 points with Haskins scoring seven goals and Kinasewich having 10 assists as Utah went 2-1-0 against Phoenix. The Grizzlies are 19-17-3 and in fourth place in the West Division and sixth overall in the National Conference.

Kinasewich scored a goal and had career highs with five assists and six points in a 6-3 win on Jan. 16, a game that saw Haskins score his first professional hat trick and add an assist to tie his career high with four points. In a 6-5 win on Jan. 18, the 21-year-old Haskins scored another hat trick and had four points while Kinasewich had four assists. Haskins extended his goal streak to three games in a 4-2 loss on Jan. 19 while Kinasewich registered a point in his fourth consecutive game with an assist.

In his first professional season and under contract to Bridgeport of the American Hockey League, the 6-foot-1 and 190-pound Haskins is second on the Grizzlies with 17 assists and third with 27 points in 26 games while also playing in 12 games for Bridgeport. He played the last five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 244 points (72g-172a) and 312 penalty minutes in 300 regular season games and 31 points (16g-15a) and 58 penalty minutes in 49 playoff games for Guelph, Toronto St. Michael's and Saginaw.

The 24-year-old Kinasewich has 13 assists and 20 points in 13 games for the Grizzlies while also playing for Bridgeport where he has five points (3g-2a) in 22 games. He has played in the ECHL each of his first four professional seasons and has 202 points (91g-111a) and 133 penalty minutes in 160 regular season games and eight points (3g-5a) and four penalty minutes in nine playoff games with Reading and Utah while also playing in the AHL where he has 13 points (5g-8a) and 14 penalty minutes in 51 regular season games with Manchester and Bridgeport.

On behalf of Tyler Haskins and Ryan Kinasewich a case of pucks will be donated to a West Valley City area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 18,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
