
LAFC Earns Third Straight Shutout, Defeats FC Dallas 2-0

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) earned its league-leading ninth win of the season following a 2-0 victory over FC Dallas on Thursday night at Banc of California Stadium. Tonight's win marked the Club's third consecutive shutout, and extended LAFC's shutout streak to 359 minutes.
After dominating play early on, LAFC would get on the scoresheet in the 39th minute via forward Carlos Vela's 13th goal in as many games. LAFC outshot FC Dallas 14-0 in the first stanza, and would finish the game with a season-high 28 shots. The Black & Gold would double the lead seven minutes from time through forward Diego Rossi's tap in. The goal was initially waved for offside, but the call was overturned and the goal stood following Video Review.
LAFC and FC Dallas will face off again this Sunday, May 19 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The second and final regular season meeting between the two sides is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on YouTube TV, UniMás KFTR 46, ESPN 710 AM, and 980 AM 'La Mera Mera'.
