Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash will celebrate the unique ability of the world's game to unite people of all walks of life with the club's first-ever Soccer For All Month throughout the month of June, the club announced today.
The month-long celebration will kick off with Soccer For All Night presented by Heriberto Ramos on Saturday, June 1 when the Dynamo host Sporting Kansas City, and will conclude on Saturday, June 29 with the annual Pride Night presented by Sasol when the Dash host the Portland Thorns. Tickets for both matches are available online at HoustonDynamo.com and HoustonDashSoccer.com.
Soccer For All, simply put, means that everyone is welcome at Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash matches. It doesn't matter where you're from, what you look like, who you worship, how you vote or who you love - we all love the game.
The Dynamo Soccer For All Night will showcase many aspects of how soccer brings people together. When the Dynamo take the field prior to kickoff, players will walk out wearing rainbow-themed shirts, which will later be auctioned by Dynamo Charities via the DashAPP online auction platform.
Celebrating the fact that more than 40 percent of Houstonians were born elsewhere, the Dynamo will showcase one of their foreign-born stars with a gate giveaway. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition bobblehead featuring star Colombian striker Mauro Manotas.
The club will honor the Dynamo Unified Special Olympics Team as well as soccer team from reVision Houston, a squad made up predominantly of refugees from all over the world, and the Houston Fireballs wheelchair soccer team.
The Dynamo have also partnered with Autism Speaks Houston to bring several families with members on the autism spectrum to the match. One reason for their ability to enjoy a match at BBVA Compass Stadium is the new TCHP Family Suite, which includes a Mother's Room and a Sensory Room, which was designed was designed and installed in cooperation with KultureCity, the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to fight for inclusion and acceptance of all individuals.
Likewise, Dash Pride Night will feature a number of elements celebrating love and inclusivity. The club encourages Houstonians to Pack the House with Pride, and all fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Dash Pride t-shirt.
Dash players will wear special rainbow-colored numbers on their jerseys during the game, and several game-worn jerseys will be auctioned by Dynamo Charities via DashAPP. Rainbow-colored corner flags and other visual elements will be prominently featured that night as well.
The Dash will once again be proud partners with Pride Houston, the annual citywide celebration of Houston's LGBTQ community. Although Pride hosts events throughout the month of June, the annual Pride Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 22.
Beyond the two match days, the club will utilize its digital and social platforms to showcase stories of how the game unites people in so many ways, and Dynamo and Dash players will spend the month visiting youth organizations and community groups throughout America's most diverse city.
