MLS Disciplinary Committee Decisions Announced

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic for two games and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 86th minute of the Galaxy's match against New York City FC on May 11.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an undisclosed fine and an additional game suspension (two games total) to Colorado Rapids forward Diego Rubio for violent conduct during the 77th minute of Colorado's match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 3. Rubio, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on May 11 against Real Salt Lake. Rubio will serve his additional game suspension on May 19 against the LA Galaxy.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez guilty of simulation/embellishment. Martinez has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 42nd minute of Atlanta's match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 15.

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis guilty of simulation/embellishment. Elis has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 57th minute of Houston's match against the Portland Timbers on May 15.
