
Komet Winger Brandon Marino Named ECHL First Team Forward

Fort Wayne, IN --- The ECHL announced Thursday that Komet right winger Brandon Marino has been named to the All-ECHL First Team.
Marino, 27, leads the ECHL with 57 assists (career-year high) and 86 points and is tied for second with 29 goals. Marino ranks third in the league with 21 power play points (7 goals, 14 assists) and leads the Komets with six game winning markers while appearing in all 70 games to date.
The fifth-year pro is skating his second season with the Komets after leading Fort Wayne with 74 points last year and named Fort Wayne's Most Valuable Player of Year for 2012-13. Marino has reached career milestones this season of 100 goals, 200 assists, 300 points and 300 games.
Marino is one of three Eastern Conference players to be named to this year's All-ECHL First Team as selected by ECHL coaches, public relations directors, broadcasters and media members.

Komets to finish regular season slate with home double-header weekend-- The Komets have two games remaining on the 2013-14 schedule, both at home this weekend. Friday the Komets face the IceMen from Evansville at 8pm. Saturday the Toledo Walleye will visit for the season finale at 7:30pm. Komet End of Season Player Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the game.
