Komet St. Pierre snags Goaltender of the Week for third straight week

Fort Wayne, IN --- Veteran Komet netminder Kevin St. Pierre has been named the UHL Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week for the 3rd consecutive week, the UHL announced Monday. It's his 6th weekly honor this season and 17th since joining the Komets in 2003-04.

St. Pierre completed the week ending Feb. 4, 2007, with a 2-0-0 record in 2 games played allowing 2 goals for a 1.00 goals-against average and .967 save percentage for the period. St. Pierre made 25 saves on 26 shots Friday night for a 3-1 victory over the visiting Chicago Hounds. Saturday in Fort Wayne St. Pierre stopped 33 of 34 Kalamazoo shots in a 4-1 victory to earned his 7th consecutive win and extend his string of unbeaten games in regulation to 9.

St. Pierre leads UHL goaltenders with a 2.15 goals-against average, .929 save percentage and 4 shutouts while ranking second with 27 wins.

St. Pierre also was named the league's Goaltender of the Month for January, his 5th monthly award as a Komet.
