
Rennette earns weekly team honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Bloomington PrairieThunder center Tyler Rennette has been named the Lone Star Restaurant "Player of the Week" for his performance in two games last week.
Rennette had a goal and an assist for two points to help the PrairieThunder snap a six-game losing streak Saturday with a 4-1 victory at Elmira, N.Y. In the first game of the two-game series between the teams Friday, Rennette scored the PrairieThunder's lone goal in a 3-1 loss.
For the season, the veteran has scored 12 goals and added 17 assists for 29 points despiye missing 11 games because of an injury.
The PrairieThunder returns to action Wednesday to start a three-game homestand at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Bloomington meets Western Conference rival Rockford on Wednesday before facing fellow conference foes Quad City on Friday and Fort Wayne on Saturday. All three games begin at 7:05 p.m.
