Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce fans can purchase on ice messages for their sweethearts for only $5 for the K-Wings' 7th Annual Borgess Pink Ice Game on Wednesday, February 14th versus the Elmira Jackals.
Men and women are always looking to new and romantic ways to symbolize their love. Well the K-Wings have just created another way to say I love you!.
Fans can inscribe short messages (i.e. Be my Valentine To: Nick Bootland, From: Slappy) for the whole community to see. Those messages will be placed into the Pink Ice and displayed during the actual 7th Annual Borgess Pink Ice Game on Valentine's Day.
After the game, Wings Stadium will host a public skate. Admission for the skate is $5, skate rental if needed is $2. The post game skate will give fans the opportunity not only to skate on the same ice Pink Ice as the K-Wings, but to see their "heart messages" up close.
Fans looking to say I Love You! in this special way can contact the K-Wings at (269) 349-9772. All messages must be received by Monday, February 12th at 5 p.m.
For more information about the on-ice messages, please contact Mike Modugno, Director of Public Relations and Broadcaster at (269) 349-9772, extension 220.
