Knights Fall to Bulls 9-2 on Friday Night

DURHAM, NC -- The Charlotte Knights dropped game four of the six-game series against the Durham Bulls by a score of 9-2 on Friday night from Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC. Charlotte second baseman Kean Wong paced the offense with three hits in the loss. In all, the Knights tallied seven hits in the contest.

RHP Chase Solesky (0-7, 8.92) was saddled with the loss after he allowed eight runs on nine hits over 4.1 innings pitched for the Knights. Solesky allowed just two runs over his first four innings before running into trouble in a six-run fifth inning. The inning was highlighted by a grand slam off the bat of Durham shortstop Tristan Gray. The home run was his 19th of the season. He led the way with three hits, the grand slam and five RBI.

Charlotte shortstop Lenyn Sosa, who homered in Wednesday's game, added an RBI double in Friday's game. Right fielder Víctor Reyes, the team leader in a number of offensive categories, added his team-high 68th RBI of the season in the game four loss.

Friday's loss was Charlotte's fourth of the series and seventh straight overall.

The Knights will continue the six-game series against the Durham Bulls (Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) on Saturday night. The "Voice of the Knights" Matt Swierad will have the call on www.CharlotteKnights.com. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. from Durham, NC on Saturday.
