Cronin Promoted to White Sox Today

DURHAM, NC -- RHP Declan Cronin had his contract selected by the Chicago White Sox today (July 28, 2023).
Cronin, 25, is currently tied for the International League lead in games pitched this season with 41. The New Jersey native is 1-0 with two saves and a 4.03 ERA this season with the Knights in 44.2 innings pitched. He was originally selected by the White Sox in the 36th round of the June 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of the College of Holy Cross. This is his first-ever promotion to the majors.
This season, a total of 18 players have gone from Charlotte to Chicago.
