MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, activated center Marc-Andre Cliche from injured reserve and assigned him to Manchester, Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Cliche, 21, injured his shoulder in an intra-squad scrimmage during the Kings Training Camp in September. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, appeared in 52 games with the Monarchs during the 2007-08 season and collected 21 points (11-10=21) and 25 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Cliche played four seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Lewiston MAINEiacs. In 189 career games with Lewiston, the center recorded 162 points (73-89=162) and 127 penalty minutes. He helped the MAINEiacs advance to the 2007 Memorial Cup tournament and was named Lewiston's Most Inspirational Player for the 2005-06 season.

The Monarchs head down to the XL Center on Wednesday, February 4 for a 7:00 p.m. rematch with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
