Kernels Blank Snappers in Series Finale

The Cedar Rapids Kernels avoided a three game sweep by the Snappers by pulling out a 1-0 victory Wednesday night at Pohlman Field.

Minnesota Twins starting shortstop J.J. Hardy made his first of three scheduled rehab starts as he went 0-for-3 with a hit by pitch against the Kernels.

James Beresford and Josmil Pinto both collected a pair of hits for the Snappers in the contest as the Snappers relief core pitched three innings of shut-out ball.

The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" is Snappers catcher Josmil Pinto who went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Thursday night the Snappers welcome in the Quad Cities River Bandits as J.J. Hardy is scheduled to be in the Snappers lineup once again. Gates will open at 6:00PM and first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
