EASTLAKE, OH - Jeremie Tice hit two home runs, including a walk-off game winner in the ninth, and drove in all five runs in a 5-3 comeback win over the Great Lakes Loons Wednesday afternoon. The game was played in front of 6,411 fans, mostly summer campers from the Cleveland area.

Loons closer Luis Vasquez entered the game with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth but never recorded an out. He walked the leadoff hitter Casey Frawley. Chun Chen followed with a single to right field. Then with two runners on, Tice connected on the game-winner to deep right field.

It was the first blown save of the year for Vasquez (1-2).

All eight runs in the game were driven home on home runs.

Both starting pitchers - the Loons' Rubby de la Rosa and the Captains' Clayton Cook - took dueling no-hitters into the fifth inning. In the top of the inning, J.T. Wise doubled down the left field line. Wise later trotted home ahead of the third home run of the year for Rafael Ynoa.

Tice responded in the bottom of the inning with a long two-run home run to center field to tie the score.

The Loons took the lead in the seventh when Wise snuck a home run over the wall just fair in the right field corner.

The loss spoiled a solid start for Rubby de la Rosa, who pitched a career-high six innings in his second start of the season. Steve Smith and Steve Ames followed with scoreless single innings of relief. Ames, in his Loons debut, struck out three.

The Loons (46-28 overall, 3-2 second half) continue their Buckeye State road trip with the first of three against Dayton Thursday afternoon. Game time is 7pm ET. Right-hander Elisaul Pimentel (8-3, 2.04 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Loons. He is currently on streaks of allowing one earned run in his last 29 innings (0.31 ERA) and 16 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings and has the league's fifth-best ERA. The Dragons' J.C. Sulbaran (3-4, 4.97) is also scheduled to start. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 100.9-FM and online at Loons.com.

The Great Lakes Loons are a fourth-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
