GENEVA, IL â With the 2004 Midwest League Playoffs on the horizon, the Kane County Cougars head into their final set of the regular season this weekend, as they host the Chicago Cubs affiliate, the Lansing Lugnuts, in a four-game stint. Starting on Friday, September 3, the Cougars celebrate the Labor Day weekend with three fireworks shows along with visits from Myron Noodleman, Skydivers and the ZOOperstars.

In honor of the holiday weekend, the Cougars will be selling raffle tickets over the four days for fans to win an authentic Cougars patriotic jersey. Winners will be announced Monday, September 6, and proceeds from the raffle will benefit Ozzie's Outreach. It's revenge of the nerd, as MYRON NOODLEMAN is up to his ol' tricks, performing skits on the field and joking with the crowd throughout the game. HOME DEPOT and the Cougars have teamed up to construct a dazzling FIREWORKS display for fans in attendance. Capping off their evening, fans are encouraged to RUN THE BASES.

Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers get fans' motors running on Saturday, as ushers ignite the night's fun by welcoming the first 2,000 fans into the park with Cougars visors, courtesy of the auto dealers. There's no sitting idle, as fans are invited on the field a half hour prior to game time to get their favorite Cougars signature in the Autograph Session. Immediately following the game, skydivers will emerge from the night's sky to coast in for a landing in centerfield before Chicagoland and NW Indiana Chevy Dealers wow guests with another fireworks spectacular. Fans should save a little something in their gas tank for the end of the evening, as they have the chance to test their speed in RUN THE BASES.

The first 2,000 guests journeying to the ballpark for the late Sunday start will receive TRAVEL MUGS, thanks to PROVENA MERCY CENTER. In town for their final show of the season, the ZOOPERSTARS will have fans busting at the seams with laughter, as they perform their silly antics on field throughout the game. Placing an exclamation point on a great season, SCHAMBERGER BROTHERS bring fans the final FIREWORKS show of the season following the game before fans take a lap around the field in RUN THE BASES.

The Cougars wrap the regular season on Labor Day with a matinee start. Preparing fans for a Chicago winter, ushers will be distributing AVIS ICE SCRAPERS to the first 2,000 guests arriving at the ballpark. Monday is unused ticket day at Elfstrom Stadium; fans with unused tickets from the 2004 season can exchange them for tickets for the afternoon's game based upon availability. Open to all fans, the Cougars will be on the field before the game for one last AUTOGRAPH SESSION. As a special thank you to fans, the Cougars will be awarding a variety of gifts throughout the afternoon as part of their FAN APPRECIATION DAY. After the last out of the game, fans are welcome to RUN THE BASES.
