Bees Add Johnson to Roster

Beloit, WI - The Kansas City Royals have added infielder Josh Johnson to the Burlington Bees active roster. The Royals selected Johnson in the 3rd Round of the 2004 draft out of Middleton High School in Tampa, FL. Johnson, a switch-hitter, played 53 games in the Arizona Rookie League this season. He batted .213 with five doubles, six triples, 22 RBI, 44 runs scored, 23 stolen bases, and 55 walks, and had a .413 on-base percentage. Johnson is the son of former Major Leaguer Larry Doby Johnson and is eligible for action in tonight's game against the Beloit Snappers at Pohlman Field.
